Indigenous man watching Downton Abbey knows what it’s like when white people watch Dances With Wolves now

An Indigenous man who binge-watched several seasons of the historical drama Downton Abbey told reporters he’s pretty sure he knows how white people feel when they watch Dances With Wolves.

“I think I get it now,” said Daniel Moneyas, 32, who found himself drawn in to the heavily romanticized portrayal of British aristocratic life.

“I mean I’m sure they don’t live like that anymore but man, those suits and that manor. Amazing.”

However, witnesses say Moneyas hastily turned off the show when he feared that becoming a fan of Downton Abbey was somehow a form of colonization.
