A four-member panel of white commentators weighed in on whether a recent incident is racism, as part of a television news program that aired on Tuesday evening.
“It’s certainly regrettable but I’m not sure it’s racist,” said one pundit, a suited white male.
“If anything, it was racially-tinged,” added another.
While the other panelists — none of whom have ever personally felt the hateful sting of racism —nodded sagely in agreement, the host gently reminded them to use air quotes whenever saying the word racism.
