Same people who gawk at First Nations elect Doug Ford

A man said to be a former hash dealer has been chosen to lead Ontario’s Progressive Conservatives by many of the same people who deride First Nations.

Doug Ford, brother of crack-smoking Toronto mayor Rob Ford, was named leader after a chaotic and hotly contested election on Saturday.

“Man, what a mess,” said National Chief Perry Bellegarde. “Sure hope the feds step in to do something about that.”

Prior to the election, issues emerged with the party’s structure, problems with its nomination processes, and discrepancies in its membership numbers, which is apparently nothing at all like First Nations elections.
