Turntables announce they’re leaving A Tribe Called Red

World-renowned Indigenous DJ duo A Tribe Called Red have lost another member.

A pair of turntables used by group co-founder Bear Witness has said it is leaving, citing ‘creative differences.’

“It’s been time to move on for quite a while, so it’s best to leave on a high note,” said the Stanton ST150M2 turntables.

“I wish my brothers in A Tribe Called Red all the best in the future.”

The turntables, used by Bear Witness for over six years, said they planned to spend time with their family — but didn’t rule out a solo career in the near future.

This is the fourth high profile departure from the group since it began over a decade ago. DJ shub left in 2014, followed by Deejay NDN in 2018. A bandana worn as a mask by DJ 2oolman also left earlier this year, citing a grueling tour schedule.
