NDP ‘more than capable’ of excluding, disappointing First Nations too: Singh

When it comes to pipelines and other major natural resource developments, federal NDP leader Jagmeet Singh told reporters his party can also exclude and disappoint First Nations.

“Canadians need to know that the NDP is more than capable of doing the exact same thing as the Liberals and the Conservatives before them,” Singh said.

“When I’m Prime Minister, I’ll ignore the rights of Indigenous Peoples so hard I might actually forget they even exist.”

Singh’s comments come after his party’s provincial counterpart in British Columbia announced it will move forward with the Site C dam, which will destroy huge swaths of Indigenous territories.
