Video: Non-Indigenous man suspected of trying to obtain Status Card so he can wear headdress to Coachella

A non-Indigenous man was stopped from applying for a Certificate of Indian Status when it was discovered he was only trying to get one so he could wear a headdress to the Coachella music festival.

A clerk at Indigenous Services became suspicious when the man wrote Mumford & Sons in a section of the application form which asks about bands.
