The Assembly of First Nations is sending a warm, congratulatory memorandum of understanding to Royal Couple Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who are tying the knot in England on Friday.
“WHEREAS the Assembly of First Nations wishes to extend warmest regards to the Royal Couple on this, their special day,” the MOU reads.
“The Parties agree that individual First Nations are not bound by any outcome or recommendation developed under this MOU.”
A spokesperson told reporters that although this is the 873rd memorandum of understanding the AFN has signed this year, it’s no less important or special. Included with the MOU is an AFN pen, jacket and beaded bolo tie.
