Canadians are unable to just get over it and move on, according to a new report published on Tuesday.
“Despite being the first to call out others for their perceived inability to just get over it and move on, Canadians have time and time again shown themselves incapable of just getting over it and moving on,” said Erin Deranger, lead researcher and professor at the Indigenous University of Canada.
“In fact, their just-get-over it-and-move-on-ness levels are among the lowest in Western nations.”
The report, Why Can’t They Just Get Over It and Move On, drew on the responses of thousand of Canadians to current issues like the removal of a single statue, immigration, as well as historical instances like the shelving of the Avro Arrow.
