At least a dozen MPs from each side of the House of Commons suffered vapours and fainted after Cree New Democrat Romeo Saganash said that the Liberal government ‘doesn’t give a f— about Indigenous people’ during Question Period on Tuesday.
“Oh my, such uncouth language,” shouted a horrified and clearly distraught Finance Minister Bill Morneau. “I’m catching the vapours!”
Morneau and several other MPs soon collapsed to the House of Commons floor and were seen being fanned by pages.
Saganash was quickly scolded by the Speaker for using unparliamentary language but not before Trudeau was rushed out of the chamber by members of the RCMP and loaded into a waiting helicopter.
