Feds employ renowned ‘Indigenous whisperer’ for Trans Mountain consultation process

The federal government has hired renowned ‘Indigenous whisperer’ Frank Iacobucci to lead consultations with Indigenous people for the Trans Mountain pipeline project.

“We heard he helps politicians with Indigenous problems,” said Natural Resources Minister Amarjeet Sohi.

“The truth is, I help Indigenous Peoples with politician problems,” Iacobucci told reporters with a warm smile, tipping his cowboy hat.

Iacobucci is a retired Supreme Court Justice who now runs a little ranch outside of Ottawa. He told reporters he’s hoping to have Trudeau, pipeline officials and all the approximately 200,000 First Nations in British Columbia stay a few days to see if they can’t work this here little snag out.
