Non-Indigenous Sudbury residents breathe sigh of relief as SKODEN message disappears from water tower

Non-Indigenous residents of Sudbury are breathing a sigh of relief after the northern Ontario city’s water tower has been repainted, covering the word SKODEN that had been mysteriously spray-painted on months ago.

“This unprecedented reign of terror is now finally over,” said Mayor Tony Sada, choking back tears.

“Our great city can now rest easy knowing that this truly horrifying message is gone once and for all.”

When it was first discovered, the spray-painted water tower caused widespread panic and triggered the largest police investigation in Ontario history.

The city even declared a state of emergency that lasted weeks as residents and officials waited for what they believed was a possible uprising.
