Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau gleefully accepted a beaded hide vest that was gifted from Chiefs attending the Assembly of First Nations meeting in Gatineau on Wednesday.
“I’m so honoured to receive this wonderful gift, just the latest in a series of absolutely beautiful gifts I’ve been blessed with since taking office,” Trudeau said, admiring the vest on stage.
“This will look great in the warehouse.”
A spokesperson from the Prime Minister’s office said that immediately after leaving the convention centre, Trudeau handed the vest to an aide who delivered it to a massive warehouse in the national capital region that’s full of gifts given to Prime Ministers for the past few decades.
