Every living Indigenous actor from coast to coast and north to south makes an appearance in the third season of Canadian drama series Cardinal, the producers confirmed on Thursday.
The series, about a pair of police detectives, is set in the fictional Northern Ontario town of Algonquin Bay.
“Our show already features talented Indigenous actors like Jennifer Podemski, Tom Jackson and Devery Jacobs,” said producer Daniel Redfroe.
“But we’re ramping things up by bringing in even more Indigenous talent, by the hundreds.”
The actors are being housed in a special village set up outside Sudbury, where much of the show is filmed. Many of those actors are being moved from another village set up during production of the series Outlander, which also employed every single Indigenous actor in 2018.
