Conservative leader kind of hoping Wilson-Raybould forgets ‘let her speak’ website before election

Conservative leader Andrew Scheer told reporters he’s kind of hoping former Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould forgets about the existence of the website he set up urging the government to let her be heard.

The website was created during the weeks when the SNC-Lavalin scandal was at the forefront of Canadian politics but it’s worrying the party faithful now that a federal election is looming.

“Yeah, no, I never meant it to be a forever ‘let her speak, more of a ‘let her speak but ONLY about this scandal'” Scheer said.

“I hope that’s pretty obvious, but just in case we’re going to ease away from that now-ish.”

Scheer said Conservative party strategists are planning to repurpose the site to be focused on MP Michelle Rempel for some reason.
