Anishinaabe woman in self-isolation beads entire apartment

An Anishinaabe woman who is in self-isolation because of the global Covid-19 pandemic has beaded her entire apartment.

“I started beading some moccasins seven days ago and finished those, so I moved onto some medallions and then finished all those, so I started beading my furniture,” said Sadie Lerat, from her Regina, Sask. apartment.

“Next thing my whole apartment was beaded.”

Everything from blankets to cutlery and plates, and even the walls and ceiling are now covered in stunning beadwork, photos reveal.

Lerat said she only realized how much beading she had done when she started beading a coat for her cat and ran out of red beads.
