Romeo Saganash celebrates by doing backflips, spiking copy of passed bill

February 8, 2018

New Democrat MP Romeo Saganash performed an elaborate post-vote celebration, doing several backflips and spiking a copy of Bill C-262 after its successful second reading in the House of Commons on Wednesday evening.

Bill C-262, which requires Canada to harmonize all of its laws with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, now moves to committee.

“It was like something out of The Matrix, he was really flying around,” said Liberal MP Robert-Falcon Ouellette, who witnessed the vote and the celebration.

“It was quite impressive.”

Saganash finished his celebration by doing double ‘devil horns’ with his hands and shouting to the speaker that he’s “going to Disneyland.”
