Liberal MP Jane Philpott, whose government defied several Human Rights Tribunal orders to provide equitable funding for First Nations kids, has ascended to sainthood following her stunning resignation from the Trudeau cabinet on Monday.
Tributes are pouring in for Philpott, some even crossing party lines.
“Some people only dream of spending $110-thousand fighting a First Nations kid in court over $6-thousand worth of dental work, I know I have” Conservative leader Andrew Scheer said in rare display of non-partisanship.
“But Philpott DID IT.”
As news of Philpott’s resignation spread across the country, there were public cries of ‘hey at least she tried’ while many Indigenous leaders displayed signs of stigmata and possibly amnesia.
