Conservative leadership hopeful Peter MacKay has been released from hospital after being treated for an erection caused by watching video of a blockade being dismantled in Alberta on Wednesday.
“He was watching these guys take down that blockade in Edmonton on his laptop and then his face just went beet red, I mean, you could really see the veins in his forehead popping out,” said a campaign office staffer, who asked not to be named.
“Then he started grunting, ‘tear it down, tear that blockade down,’ with his teeth clenched.”
The grotesque display lasted several minutes, the staffer said, until MacKay suddenly slid off his chair and became unresponsive.
A spokesperson for the campaign said MacKay was taken to hospital where he was treated for blood loss and released. He’s been advised to refrain from watching any videos of vigilantism.
