Feds begin stockpiling rule of law, reconciliation amid Covid-19 fears

March 12, 2020

As the World Health Organization declares Covid-19 a global pandemic, the federal government has begun the process of stockpiling rule of law and reconciliation.

“Let me be clear—this isn’t about hoarding rule of law and reconciliation,” said Deputy Prime Minister Christia Freeland.

“This is about ensuring that all people of Canada have access to rule of law and reconciliation during this unpredictable time.”

Many thought Canada had burned through its entire reserves of reconciliation and rule of law when Indigenous people blocked railways and other actions in support of the Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs.

However, Freeland assured reporters that there still remain ‘tons’ of reconciliation and rule of law across the country, which is now being collected and stored in vast government warehouses.

Meanwhile, many Canadian citizens have started stockpiles of their own: mainly toilet paper and racism.
