Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will sit down with Indigenous leaders in Ottawa on Thursday and I guess talk about reconciliation or something.
It’s the first time the two groups have met since rail blockades, which sprung up in support of Wet’suwet’en hereditary leaders, came down.
“Yeah, I don’t know, I guess we’ll talk about reconciliation or something,” Trudeau told reporters.
“You know, just kind of, I don’t know, riff on reconciliation for a bit.”
While several of the Indigenous leaders who are invited to the meeting agreed talks could be tense, Métis leader David Chartrand said he’s baked a cake and he hopes everyone likes it, especially Trudeau.
