Uber fans of The Beachcombers are in for a unique treat in 2020; APTN announced that it is editing episodes of the iconic TV series to include only scenes with First Nations character Jesse Jim, played by actor Pat John.
“What better way to spend the summer than with the real star of this beloved TV series?” said an ecstatic APTN CEO Monique Island.
“I think I speak for all of us when I say that the only reason audiences tuned in was to catch a glimpse of Jesse Jim, being Jesse Jim.”
The series is being re-titled Jesse Jim & The Beachcombers and is set begin airing on the network in June.
Island said that plans are also in the works to edit episodes of The Adventures of Dudley the Dragon to feature only Graham Greene as Mr. Crabby Tree, as well as the entire animated series King of the Hill which will now be titled Redcorn.
