Racial profilers applaud re-opening of non-essential Manitoba businesses

Retailers whose Manitoba shops have been shuttered for weeks due to Covid-19 are relieved the province has eased restrictions because it means they can once again racially profile Indigenous customers.

“We offered curbside racial profiling but obviously it’s just not the same,” said Lily Leblanc, who owns a bookstore in Winnipeg.

“You just can’t beat good ol’ fashioned honing in on an Indigenous customer and following them around like a hungry seagull.”

Industry analysts say racial profiling is down significantly during the pandemic. However, they are predicting the numbers will bounce back once the rate of infection goes down.

“Then it’s going to be like racial profiling Christmas all over again!” said an ecstatic Leblanc.
