Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s former top advisor has requested to testify before the committee investigating the SNC-Lavalin affair.
The committee was rocked by the explosive testimony of former Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould on Wednesday.
“We’ve heard the allegations from Ms. Wilson-Raybould,” Gerald Butts said in a letter to Parliament. “Now can we finally hear from a white guy?”
One of Trudeau’s oldest and closest friends, Butts resigned earlier this month amid allegations that the Prime Minister’s Office tried to prevent the criminal prosecution of engineering firm SNC-Lavalin.
